A Graduate Cat and Dustin Hoffman covered in Bombay Mix
Two brilliant tidbits sent to me by readers of Dinner and a Movie
Watch Party - Everyone Invited
First up my food and film-loving fans, an announcement, a date for your diary!
Sunday 10th March, 8pm GMT - worldwide watch party
More details about the selected movie in the next newsletter but for now, pop it in your diary. If you are in a different timezone - here’s a handy oojamaflip for checking what time that will be where you are
Cute Cat Alert
My Guild of Food Writers chum Orlando emailed me to say that his cat is called Benjamin after our hero in The Graduate.
I do see a likeness…
I have just finished Orlando’s truly brilliant first novel
and I spotted an acknowledgement to his cats Benjamin and Maxim.
I have a feeling that another cat photo will be winging its way to me when our movie for March is announced…
Star Spot Alert
Another brilliant email came in from Justin G. He wrote…
We wanted to sell our family home in the 1980s and the estate agent said a potential buyer was coming round.
My mum was in the kitchen stuffing her face with Bombay mix when she heard the buyer say hello from behind her.
Turning round she saw the face of Dustin Hoffman and spat the Bombay mix all over his face.
He bought the house.
True story!
I LOVE IT! If you have any anecdotes related to the stars or movie characters featured here on Dinner and a Movie do let me know. Because you know what they say…
