The Hitchcocktail

I had a lot of fun with this cocktail, presumably invented (or at least drunk) by the great man himself.

The formula was vague in the 1952 newspaper article in which it appeared, so I had fun experimenting. The accidental opening of a weird app on my phone led to my very own Alfred Hitchcock deciding to film the cocktail demo in black and white.

I was very pleased with how my attempt at Joan’s Snow-Whirl Chocolate Whirl turned out, so I heartily recommend this recipe too.

So, for members of the Silver Screen Suppers Club (aka my lovely paid subscribers), there follows a cocktail demo from the Silver Screen Suppers kitchen and 3 more star-spangled recipes.

This is a little reminder that I’m hosting a watch party on Sunday. Get your DVDs or streaming service lined up for 7 pm and join me in the Substack chat - everyone is welcome!
