I hope you will find some time to watch Scrooge this month - I know this is a mad busy time, but why not watch it while you wrap Christmas presents or make mince pies or some other thing where you can have half an eye on a movie?
Normally I urge you to give the films your full attention but at this time of year, I allow some multitasking!
The extra goodies for my lovely paid subscribers this month are a simple recipe for a dessert featuring fresh oranges from the kitchen of Kathleen Harrison
and a video demo of a Scrooge Snowball from my kitchen - here’s what you’ll need…
It was chilly when I filmed this little movie so I was wearing my warmest jumper, a woolly hat and a scarf. It was colder than Bob Cratchit’s place that day!
A snowball is such a traditional British Christmassy treat, I do hope you will try it if you are based somewhere else in the world and have never experienced one before. As you’ll see from the video, it is traditional for your cherries to fall into the drink!
Do let me know if you make Jack’s salad from the previous post, Kathleen’s dessert or a Scrooge Snowball and send me pix. I really love to see how these things turn out for you.
Merry Christmas to my subscribers one and all!
Can’t think what to get one of your movie-loving chums for Christmas? How about a subscription to Dinner and a Movie?! It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
Books are always nice too, right?!
A little reminder that if you want the full glorious experience of watching Scrooge in a beautiful cinema, my favourite one in the whole world, The Hippodrome in Bo’ness
