The Lucille Ball's Pink Lady Cocktail it is!
I little while ago, I asked y’all which cocktail I should demo from the newly acquired Stork Club Cook and Bar Book.
One was head and shoulders above the others…
I am planning to do a Lucille Ball film as a full Dinner and a Movie experience in 2025 as I have some great recipes in the collection courtesy of Lucille.
At the moment I am leaning towards The Long, Long Trailer but I would love to hear any other recommendations for Technicolor Tessie.
Until then, here’s how her Pink Lady turned out…
The Lucille Ball Pink Fizz
1 and 3/4 ounces gin
1/2 ounce applejack
4 dashes grenadine
1 egg white
Shake over ice and strain into a 4-ounce wine glass
In the video demo you will find out
Which movie star dish I am most most likely to try from this new find (thanks to Margie for tipping me off)
What you can use in place of Applejack in Lucille’s cocktail
What happens when Mr Rathbone tries to film a demo AND drink a Pink Fizz
Plus you’ll get a glimpse of my new Tiki themed cocktail tumblers right at the end - thanks Debbie! A gift out of the blue - lucky me.
I feel an Stu Whitman Mai Tai coming on!
Come and have a little tipple with me at my nautical but nice cocktail bar!
I’ve sold almost half of the 100 facsimiles of the 1933 Celebrity Cocktail Contest Booket I had made, so if you’d like one, don’t delay. It would be a great prezzie for a loved one…
I hope some of you will be joining us for the free online watch party I am hosting with Vincent Price expert Peter Fuller.
You could rustle up a Lucille Ball Pink Lady to keep the whistle whetted. Or join us for a Charlie Ruggles Old-Time Martini - demo coming soon!
